  • Cocktail shaker

  • Double strainer

  • Jigger

  • Double Old Fashioned / Rock glass


Ingredients:

To craft Buran, you'll need the following ingredients:


  • 40ml (1 1/3 oz) Vodka (a high-quality, neutral vodka works best)

  • 20ml (2/3 oz) Midori melon liqueur

  • 30ml (1 oz) Fresh lemon juice (freshly squeezed for the best flavor)

  • 15ml (1/2 oz) Acacia honey syrup

  • 6-8 Fresh mint leaves

  • 20ml (2/3 oz) Aquafaba (the liquid from canned chickpeas, used as a vegan-friendly egg white substitute)

  • Ice cubes


Glass: Double Old Fashioned / Tumbler  (340-380ml)

Technique: Dry Shake, Shake & Fine Strain


Procedure:

Step 2: Muddle the Mint

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and the vodka

  2. Gently muddle the mint with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release its aromatic oils. The alcohol in the vodka helps extract even more flavor from the mint leaves.

Step 3: Shake the Cocktail

  1. Add the Midori, fresh lemon juice, acacia honey syrup and aquafaba to the shaker.

  2. Dry shake (without ice) for about 15 seconds to help the aquafaba create a foamy texture.

  3. Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for another 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Step 4: Strain and Serve

  1. Put a big ice cube in a double old fashioned glass

  2. Double strain the mixture into the glass to remove mint bits and ice shards.

  3. Let the foam settle on top for a smooth, elegant presentation.

  4. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lemon twist (optional)
